Out and About

The soundtrack for the entire day was the album “The World is Waiting for Terry” by Takeshi Terauchi and The Bunnys.
First Stop Vissio
Never beating the nerd allegations.
Today was a fun one, I had a date planned but a series of unfortunate events led to having to take a rain check, so I took myself out for a date.
Day’s like these are always fun, I get to take myself out and just chill, so I grabbed a book and headed for the door for a day of coffee, food and immaculate vibes.
First stop was Vissio Cafe, it’s a small coffee shop with really nice beans, good baristas and a small selection of drinks, had the usual combo whenever I go to a new spot, a spro and a flat white, pro tip, if you ever happen to find yourself at a espresso focused coffee shop and you want to know if it’s good, have an espresso and a cortado, it’s the best way to get to know the kind of coffee they serve there, if both are good, then any kind of espresso based drink will be good.
Top tier Flat White.
The coffee was amazing, and the baristas super cool, before leaving I grabbed a couple of bags of coffee beans, they carry stuff from Mutante a local roaster, 10/10 would recommend.
Their espresso presentation is actually pretty cute.
Food
I’m going to be honest with you my dear reader… I was thinking about taking myself on a fancy lunch date, but I got tired from walking halfway to the spot I was craving, luckily, Daemon was right around the corner so dumplings and pork belly it was. This place is a literal hole in the wall and the lighting inside has all the vibes, so I ate, and took a few photos, left a tip, it was time for coffee number 3.
This place has all the vibes.
Respect the kitchen Rush.
Funky
I mistimed my exit from lunch and got to Funky right as they were about to close, grabbed a quick flat white to go, left a nice tip for the trouble and enjoyed my coffee on the go. Funky always has really nice beans, but today’s best drink was the flat white from Vissio, their signature blend is actually pretty nice with milk so they take the day.
Got here late, but Funky always has good people behind the bar.
Aaaaaanyway… I channeled my inner food blogger for this one, I hate it, but the day was fun, whenever I’m out eating by myself I think about Anthony Bourdain, with how shit is going, he would’ve reminded us to enjoy the little things.
”It’s been an adventure. We took some casualties over the years, things got broken, things got lost, but I wouldn’t have missed it for the world” - Anthony Bourdain, Kitchen Confidential.
